Mark Spain Real Estate Grants Ayden’s Unbelievable Fish Wish
One of our core values at Mark Spain Real Estate is to lead with a servant’s heart, and one of the ways we continue to do this is by gratefully serving those in our community. This past Christmas, we were honored to meet with Ayden and his mom, Anita and officially grant Ayden’s Fish Christmas Wish! This was our fifth year partnering with Christian radio station 104.7 The Fish to support the 2020 Fish Christmas Wish program.
Ayden’s Fish Wish
This past Christmas, Mark Spain Real Estate exemplified one of our core values of leading with a servant’s heart by granting ourfifth 104.7 The Fish Christmas Wish. We chose to grant the Fish Christmas Wish of 7-year-old Ayden, and his mother Anita. Ayden has a rare brittle bone disease, and because of this, Ayden has had to stay home and has not really been able to see his friends due to the potential health risks of COVID-19. They have had a challenging past year. When sending in their Fish Wish, Ayden’s mother mentioned that he has always wanted to ride a bike, but his condition makes that difficult for him.
“For those that don’t know, Ayden was gifted an unbelievable bike for Christmas this year thanks to his aunt submitting a Christmas wish to a local radio station,” stated Anita, Aydan’s mom. “It has been an amazing sight to watch him peddle around the neighborhood, with ever increasing confidence, to cheers from the neighbors. This was truly the greatest gift and we cannot thank Mark Spain and his realty team enough for such a life changing gift. Thank you for giving us such an important childhood memory.”
Granting Ayden’s Wish
In November, we were able to choose this wonderful family to grant a Fish Wish for. We spent the majority of December searching for the perfect gifts for Ayden. We connected with a special organization in order to have a bike designed specifically for children with health concerns like Ayden.
The bike is designed to be compatible with Ayden’s health concerns and allows him to safely ride his bike. He was so excited to get outside to enjoy some air and exercise after a challenging year of mostly being indoors due to risks of COVID-19. We are so grateful to have provided this bike as it has brought lasting joy for Ayden as well as gave him the opportunity to participate in a childhood activity that he might not have gotten otherwise.
Additionally, we were thankful to be able to provide Ayden with a chair lift that will allow him to get up and down his stairs. Lastly, we provided a supply of groceries, a shopping spree, and many other special gifts for Ayden and Anita including an iPad, Nintendo Switch, and Kitchenaid mixer to bring some joy to this family, especially after the hard times endured in 2020. About 104.7 The Fish Christmas Wish
104.7 The Fish radio network has been granting Christmas wishes since the program began in 2006. This year marked its 15th holiday season, and the program has given away hundreds of thousands of dollars in granted wishes since the program started. With 2020 being such a difficult year for so many metro Atlanta families, donations and sponsorships are needed now more than ever for the Atlanta-based radio station to grant as many wishes as possible.
Companies or individuals can fund an entire Fish Christmas Wish or donate online to partially fund a wish. All donations are tax-deductible. One hundred percent of all funds raised are used to help fellow Georgia residents. Our hope is that you will decide to join us in serving our community! Currently, 104.7 is promoting their kindness challenge in which there will be a winner chosen as well as a Hometown Hero named. If you would like to nominate a Hometown Hero, or see how you can donate to the cause, click here.
Station 104.7 The Fish and Mark Spain Real Estate also grant Fish Acts of Love throughout the year. Visit https://thefishatlanta.com/content/all/acts-of-love-nomination and fill out the brief form to nominate a loved one.
