Successful Moms in the Workplace
With Mother’s Day on Sunday, the Mark Spain Real Estate team would like to celebrate all of the successful moms in the workplace who give their all at home and to our company! Our team members work hard both in and out of the office. Today, we want to say thank you and happy Mother’s Day to all the hard-working mothers. We asked a few awesome moms at Mark Spain Real Estate to share advise about being a mom and having a successful career, too.
Brandi Bryant:
Brandi was an educator for 19 years prior to joining Mark Spain Real Estate. She spent six of those years building Fulton county’s virtual high school program. After joining Mark Spain Real Estate as an exclusive buyer agent, Brandi was immediately one of our top-performing buyer agents. She transitioned into our training department in 2019 and has made an incredible impact so far in developing our online learning system, building out our buyer agent training program, and assisting with our listing agent training.

This June, I will have been married for 26 years. My husband and I met in the 10th grade. I went to The University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!!) and he went to Auburn University. We have three daughters: Graham Grace (21), Bishop Faith (20), and Merritt Hope (17). I feel so extremely blessed that God chose me to be their mama! They are no doubt wonderfully made, I know that full well (Psalm 139:14)! 🙂
What advice do you have for moms in the workplace to constantly grow and improve while being a great mom, too?
As parents, we are always training our children (whether we want to be or not). We influence them, mold them, and shape them daily with our words, attitudes, and actions. They are always watching us and learning from us. Having a strong work ethic is something I am proud of, and I believe my girls benefit from seeing me work hard for our family. My girls know that knowledge breeds confidence. When you are a problem-solver and not a problem-maker, great things are possible. When we model that learning is fun, constantly growing and improving is a natural bi-product. After all… who doesn’t want to have fun!
Katie Ciarochi:
Katie is approaching one year with Mark Spain Real Estate after she found her way to us through her father who is a beloved agent on our Alpharetta team. She serves our Athens clients by assisting agents with paperwork compliance and maintaining ongoing communication with our clients. Katie is kind and always willing to lend a helping hand. She is currently working on furthering her real estate knowledge by getting her Real Estate license.

I have two beautiful girls! Emma is 7 and loves to play basketball, and Lizzy is 12 and plays volleyball. We love to play board games, go hiking, play with legos, and have impromptu dance parties. Our favorite thing to do is to go to the beach!
What advice do you have for moms in the workplace to constantly grow and improve while being a great mom, too?
It is important to prioritize time for work, family, and self-care. Take breathers for yourself so you can be your best at work and at home!
Anita Mag:
Anita joined Mark Spain Real Estate as a part-time bookkeeper in February of 2014. As Mark Spain Real Estate grew, so did her responsibilities. She is currently our Accounting Manager and oversees accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and agent payables. Anita has been integral in the roll-out of company initiatives and new software.

No matter who you are or what you do, no matter how many people you care for and/or how many jobs you work, or hats you wear, you can be your best as a mom, wife, student, and breadwinner when you have established a habit of spending time with yourself. Whether it is taking a run every day, a quick workout, reading, journaling, or any combination of those things, you can only be your best for others when you have taken time to be with yourself. Even if you start by hiding in the bathroom, from the kids, with daily inspiration for 5 minutes, just do it! For me personally, it’s reading, journaling, music, or just peace and quiet. It calms the chaos in my head, helps me think clearer, and grounds me. It becomes my rhythm of life!
Cindy Krampetz:
Cindy has excelled at every job she has had. After a few years in a sales role, she was promoted into leadership and eventually was offered the role of Vice President at John Weiland. She then joined Mark Spain Real Estate as a Director of Sales and was promoted to Vice President of Sales after two years with the Company. Cindy is quite literally one of the hardest-working individuals we have ever worked with! You will rarely see Cindy stressed and, if you do, you will observe that she is inactivity. Nothing can stand in her way!

Reid is 10 years old. He is full of energy and personality. He is the kindest little daredevil, I know. I love that he is brave enough to take risks while almost always taking into consideration how his actions affect others. He loves playing video games, baseball, basketball, swimming, building forts in the woods, and camping.
Aubrey is 7. She is as sweet as they come and she’s pretty quick-witted, too. She literally makes me belly laugh daily. Aubrey likes dancing, singing with her mommy, braiding hair, swimming, and she keeps begging me to start gymnastics. Both of them are really smart and outgoing. We love spending time together outside around our pool, hiking Kennesaw Mountain, and going for bike rides. Our summers are filled with sunscreen, exercise, and popsicles!
