East Cobb Real Estate & Homes
The East Cobb area is found about 10 miles north of Downtown Atlanta. This area is defined by the boarders of Cherokee County to the north, the Chattahoochee River to the southeast, Bell’s Ferry Road to the west and Willeo Creek to the northeast. None of the area is actually found in the city limits.
East Cobb is considered a suburb of Atlanta with a population near 169,000. It has a rich history and originally became a suburb of Atlanta in the 1960s.
Shopping
Plenty of shopping is found throughout East Cobb. The area provides a large amount of shopping including the Merchant’s Walk. This is a 367,600 square foot open0ar mall with plenty of retail shops, restaurants and a movie theater. It was built in 1976 and has expanded twice. Some of the stores found here include:

- Stein Mart
- And More!
There are also a number of good restaurants found here.
The Avenue East Cobb is another shopping center that covers over 200,000 square feet. It provides a bit of a town square design with plenty of stores found throughout.
Another choice for shopping is the Paper Mill Village. This is a collection of 33 buildings, which provide all types of retailers, restaurants and more. It’s also the place for the popular food truck night held from April to October on the last Monday of every month.
Schools
East Cobb is served by many different districts including Pope, Sprayberry, Kell, Lassiter, Walton and Wheeler for high schools. There are also multiple middle school districts including Simpson, Hightower, East Cobb, Dickerson, McCleaskey, Daniell and more. These districts serve the area and provide plenty of schools for students within the area.
Overall, East Cobb is a large area with plenty to offer. It’s close enough to Atlanta for residents to take advantage of all that the city has to offer, as well.
