Pine Hills, one of the many prestigious neighborhoods in the Buckhead area, is located at the edge of the city on the eastern side. It is a quick 5 minute drive to the Lenox Superblock. This neighborhood sits right on the county lines of both DeKalb and Fulton counties. That means children living on the east and west side would be a part of different school districts.
Pine Hills is the perfect name for this quite, upscale neighborhood as most of the single family homes sit on top of rolling hills that are covered by pine trees. The original homes in the area were built way back in the 1950’s.
Since then many of the homes have either been rebuilt or renovated to accommodate the various tastes of today’s modern family.

Pine Hills is a neighborhood that straddles two county lines: DeKalb county and Fulton county. That means there are two different school districts children can attend. It all depends on what part of the neighborhood you reside. It is important for parents to do research in reference to the different school options. You also need to make sure you understand what district your home is in.

Transportation
The Lenox Marta rail station sits right on the northwest corner of Pine Hills and is less than a five minute walk away. This gives you quick access to and from the city of Atlanta.
